KAWIT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Know the concept of addition.
Add two sets of concrete objects or pictures up to quantities of 10.
Appreciate the important of learning addition.

Children before we proceed to our new lesson, we will sing first a
mathematical song.

This morning children, I will present to you a short story. Do you want to
listen? But before I will read to you the story, let us read first the motive
questions.
Motive Questions:
Si Lina
Si Lina ay usa ka buotan nga bata. Ganahan kayo iyang mama ug
papa sa iyaha. Ang paborito nga pagkaon ni Lina ay mansanas.
Usa ka buntag, mihawa ang iyahang mama ug papa aron mamalit ug
pagkaon nila. Pag-uli nila sa balay nag dala sila og pasalubong para kay Lina.
Gitagaan ni mama og duha (2) ka mansanas si Lina. Nalipay kayo siya og
nagpasalamat siya sa iyahang mama. Ug kay paborito man ni Lina ang
mansanas gidungagan kini sa iyahang papa og duha(2) pa kabook. Ug
nagpasalamat siya sa iyahang papa.

Did you like the story children? Okay, let us answer the questions.
Values Infusion:
Children is your parent loves you? Did they buy your favorite food?
Then what did you say to them? Okay, if you received something
whether it is from your parent or from other people you must have to
express your gratitude by saying “Thank you”.
Okay, in the story children, how many apples did Lina received in all?

- Arrange the pupils by row.
- Give standards to be followed in doing the task.
- Present the rubrics in order for the pupils to be aware on how they will be
rated by row.
