At the end of one-hour class discussion, 75% of grade 1 pupils are expected to:

B. Drill
Reading numbers up to 20 using flash card.
Children, read the numbers as I flash the cards.

Counting number using real fruits.
Children, I have here a basket with fruits.
Let us count the number of the fruit inside the basket.

D. Motivation
 What vitamins can we get from this fruit?
 Why do we need to have these vitamins? Especially now we are experiencing covid
19 pandemic?
 Do you want to learn how to combine these fruits?

E. Presentation
Children, let us visualize and combined the number of fruits.

Let the teacher discuss the addends and the sum using addition.

Set the standards:
Group the pupils into two. Each group will be given a peso coins. The teacher will dictate
the addends and let the learners use the peso coins to find the sum. The group who first
correctly answered will be given a points.
