At the end of the period, the students are expected to:
. a. Explain hygiene practices and good grooming to children based on established procedures.
b. Demonstrate personal hygiene procedure to children based on health and safety procedures.
d. Apply regulations on safety, health and hygiene according to standards

On the table are strips of cartolina in which each term is wriutten in each strip. Another student picks up one strip,
reads the term aloud then posts it beside its meaning on the board. He reads the term and its meaning and calls another
student to do the same.

 Health care includes the observance of proper hygiene and cleanliness. Cleanliness and good health are inseparable.

the teeth and Caring for the skin.

skin care while your mother is busy at work. Below are the steps in caring for the hair and caring for
the skin, determine the correct steps for proper hair grooming

B. Let hair dry naturally; do not use the electric fan
C. Use a hairbrush or comb appropriate to your hair type to avoid dandruff, lice, and nits.
D. Have a trim/haircut to keep hair shape and remove unsightly split ends
E. Remove all hair accessories before sleeping to allow the hair roots to breath freely.
F. Brush your hair with proper strokes several times from the scalp to the tips of the hair to distribute the
natural oil in hair

A. Wash your face with mild soap and water upon waking up and before going to bed.
B. When taking a bath, scrub the body with face towel

E. Drink eight glasses of water daily.
F. Avoid sun exposure from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
