I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the period, the students are expected to:
a. Recite the procedure in Bathing children. (Cognitive Learning)
b. Appreciate the procedure in bathing dressing a child by reciting any step number being asked.

c. Demonstrate the procedure in bathing and dressing a child. (Psychomotor Learning)

Ask three students to volunteer and describe what is shown in each of the picture.

A. Activity
Let the three students who volunteered to share their experiences related to the picture.

a. Cite a situation . You have a 5 year old brother who get messy after playing outside and your mother
instructed you to to give bath to your brother while your mother is busy at work, what will you do?

The teacher displays/reads the 4-step procedure in bathing children.

The step procedure in bathing Children

a. Run Cold water in the basin, then add hot water and mix thoroughly.
b. Start with the hair. Wet the hair, then shampoo and massage the scalp thoroughly with the fingers.
This does not only remove sticking dirt and odor but also allows free circulation of blood, making
you feel light, Rinse the hair thoroughly.
c. Scrub the body with sponge or washcloth soaked with soap. Rub the rough areas, paying attention
to the elbows, knees and heels of the feet.
d. Brush the fingernails and toenails with toenails with a nailbrush soak in a soapy water. This
removes the hidden stubborn dirt on the sides and tips of the nails.
e. Rinse the body will after soaping and scrubbing.
f. Pat dry with clean, dry bath towel.
g. Never leave the child alone in the bathroom.

The teacher demonstrates the procedure in bathing children (using a doll).

teacher on the doll.

A student will be asked to make return demo following the procedure in bathing children using the doll.

IV. EVALUATION:

FOLLOW THE SEQUENCE:

Directions: Put the correct numbers (1 to 7) before each phrase/statement below following the sequence
of the procedure in bathing children.
Never leave the child alone in the bathroom

Start with the hair. Wet the hair, then shampoo and massage the scalp thoroughly
with the fingers.

Scrub the body with sponge or washcloth soaked with soap. Rub the rough areas,
