CELL (LAC) SESSION
LAC Session is a program of the Department of Education that aims to create
professional learning communities that will help teachers to have a wider scope of teaching
content and methodologies. Through LAC Sessions, the teachers are trained to enhance the
skills in particular aspects of curriculum and improvement of classroom learning. That’s why
LAC leader conducts every grading LAC sessions to update teachers with new instructions to
help us improve our teaching-learning process that will lead to improve our learners’
knowledge and skills. For the school master teacher to function effectively and efficiently for
the student’s welfare, it is important for both observer and observees to come together. This
is well achieved by the Learning Action Cell.
Last October 6, 2023, the 3rd LAC Session started at 9:30 in the morning. Before
starting the session, Ms. Marites G. Abejero, Master Teacher I, led a short prayer, and
welcomed everyone, followed by the checking of attendance. The Lac leader presented the
following topic/agenda:

 Other matters
LAC leader had explained about the Curriculum Teaching areas in the subject taught
and learned in the K to 12 curriculum which includes areas such as Kindergarten Education,
Special Education, Alternative Learning System, Indigenous Peoples Education for this the
subjects are contextualized by interfacing the national curriculum competencies identified in
Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSPs) (DO 322, s.2015. Another topic
touched on was about the knowledge of content and pedagogy, this is the integration of
expertise and teaching skill in a particular area.
