II. RATIONALE

School-Based Training for public school teachers along with the volunteer-
tutors for Brigada Pagbasa in GENERAL SANTOS CITY NATIONAL SECONDARY
SCHOOL OF ARTS & TRADES EXTENSION is one of the ways of the school to
equip them with new knowledge and skills in order for them to face the challenges in
the delivery of education. Now that the education sector is facing one of its greatest
challenges in history, training our teachers to cope up with these trying times has
never been more imperative.

 Moreover, the need for school-based training in schools is getting more
attention for teachers and future teachers to equip with new knowledge and
skills for them to face new challenges and reformation in education. In-service
training can enhance the professionalism of teachers and even future teachers
who can contribute to the organization to achieve its goals. In-service training is
a professional and personal educational activity for teachers to improve their
efficiency, ability, knowledge, and motivation in their professional work.

In view thereof, this academic institution will conduct a 6-SESSION

VIRTUAL WEBINAR ON MOST ESSENTIAL TOOLS IN TEACHING for English
Teachers in GSCNSSAT-EXTENSION and Volunteer-tutors/Interns from
MSU-GENSAN CSSH- English Department.

Ill. OBJECTIVES:
this SCHOOL-BASED VIRTUAL TRAINING is organized for
the participants to:
1. unpack the Most Essential Learning competencies in English
2. revisit the Policy Guidelines on Daily Lesson Plan Preparation
(Deped Order No. 42, s. 2016)
3. construct Table of Specifications which focuses on the key areas
and weights based on their importance.
4. construct test items that are congruent to the objectives and
learning outcomes.
5. use Essential Tools in making Video Lessons
6. review the Guidelines classroom demonstration.
