II. Rationale
This training will help teachers to be more effective in teaching through contextualizing and
localizing instructional materials.
Republic Act 10533 or the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 stipulates to make
education learner-centered, inclusive and developmentally appropriate. It also specifies that
curriculum shall be flexible enough to enable and allow schools to localize, indigenize and enhance
the same based on their respective educational and social contexts. As a result, contextualization
becomes a key or priority of the department of education, as mandated by law. As educators, we need
to re-orient ourselves in order to deliver learning effectively. This training supports the following
domains and characteristics of quality teachers:
A. provide education which is learner-centered, inclusive and developmentally appropriate
The Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers defines the quality of teachers in the
country. The strands related in this training: Domain 3, Learners’ gender, needs, strengths, interests
and experiences and Learners’ linguistic, cultural, socio-economic and religious backgrounds;
Domain 4, Relevance and responsiveness of learning programs; and Domain 6, Establishment of
learning environments that are responsive to community contexts.
VI. Target Participants Profile (Career Stage, Grade level, Learning Area)
The participants of this training shall include all the teachers of Marcos Village Elementary
School
The participants are expected to complete 8 hours of relevant training through online learning.
IX. Modality
Following the safety protocol, the modality of this training shall be online through Google
meet.
The schedule of this training is on September 24. 2021 ranges from 8:00 to 5:00pm in the
morning.

The teachers of Marcos Village Elementary School together with the school head, Mrs. Myra
G. Enriquez, conducted a school-based Learning Action Cell last September 24, 2021. The activity
aims the following:
