Shadow mastiffs, sometimes known as shadow hounds, were massive dogs of darkness and doom

that stalked through the Plane of Shadow. The sound of a pack of shadow mastiffs baying caused all
but the bravest individuals to tremble.

Disability: While they can understand the Common tongue, Shadow hounds cannot speak nor use
their paws to easily manipulate objects.

BUILD COMMENTS: I only faced these guys once in D&D and we got our asses kicked. Half of us
failed that save against the Howl and we all ended up having to retreat from the pack. They're no
kobolds but they're nothing to be trifled with at low levels.
