Displacer beasts were large cat-like creatures, sometimes described as panther- or puma-like with six

legs and a pair of tentacles 5 feet (1.5 meters) long sprouting from their shoulders. Displacer beasts
used their innate magic to bend light, making them appear to be between 1 foot (0.3 meters) to
3 feet (0.91 meters) from their actual positions. The same ability made them resistant to all ranged
attacks and excellent at hiding.

Comments: Replicating the Displacer Beasts’ ability in MnM took me a little while to figure out, at
least for how I wanted it to work. Basically, it has partial Concealment that should give its foes -2 on
attacks against it, along with some enhanced defenses to make it pretty much a PL8 on defense, but
a reasonable PL7-ish on offense. Still a good foe for mid-lower level parties.
