CAPSTONE UPDATE #1

Please ensure you include SPECIFIC DETAILS and EXAMPLES in your writing when answering the
following prompts below.

IF YOU HAVEN’T DONE ANYTHING FOR YOUR CAPSTONE YET, YOU MUST SHARE WHY AND WHAT
YOU ARE GOING TO DO DIFFERENTLY NEXT WEEK.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

1. What have you accomplished so far with your Capstone Project outside of class?
So far, I have completed a storyboard containing rough sketches on what I want each story to look like.
Yesterday, I had a class with my mentor, Amy from Neighborhood Art School in the Willoughby Town
Centre, and she recommended that I try “rotoscoping.” As soon as possible, I am going to ask some of
my friends to act out some of the scenes, which I will then use as a reference.

2. What do you plan to accomplish by the end of next week?

I plan to have all my music together by this Friday. Next week, my goal is to accomplish recording each
scene by Wednesday or Thursday. After, I will import the clips into my animating program and draw
my characters.

3. What are your needs (time, space, materials, personal contacts etc)?
This is my list of materials I currently have to help me complete this project; stories from real people,
animating program, camera, drawing utensils, headphones, reliable music source.

4. Have you encountered any obstacles or challenges so far, and how have you overcome them?
I have been incredibly busy with work and my other classes, so I have been falling behind a little. But I
am using this class time to make up for lost time.
