CAPSTONE UPDATE #1

1. What have you accomplished so far with your Capstone Project outside of class?

Outside of school, I have made an email and channel for my capstone, and I started asking a few
Karen youths and non-Karen schoolmates to take part in my capstone. I have also started coming up
with questions and ideas for my documentary and informative videos.

2. What do you plan to accomplish by the end of next week?

By the end of the week, I plan to polish up my questions and do some interviews by Sunday because
on Saturday my youth group will be coming over or Thanksgiving which will give me time to
interview some of them.

3. What are your needs (time, space, materials, personal contacts etc)?

 Cooking supplies
 Camera/lighting
 List of questions
 Karen recipes
 4 days for editing (if spend 2-3 hours) each video.

4. Have you encountered any obstacles or challenges so far, and how have you overcome them?

So far, I haven’t encountered any obstacles, but I am worried about whether I have enough time to be
able to reach the Karen youth and others and teach them about the history of Karen.
