GENERALITIES

General aspects that must be observed before starting rehabilitation work on buildings declared
monuments and through which the equipment and material requirements necessary for the on-site
execution of each of the intervention works are derived, focusing mainly on rescue and conservation.
of all original elements and spaces that still remain, as well as the reintegration, as far as possible, of
what has been lost due to previous interventions and that can be returned to the property, during
these works.

I .- GENERAL CLEANING

Initially, all work related to the general cleaning of the property will be carried out, removing
debris and garbage stored inside the property and its roofs, in order to clear the work areas and
have space for stowage of material. of construction, tools and necessary equipment, as well as
the stowage of reusable material from the property itself in the rehabilitation work

II .- GENERAL REVIEW OF THE PROPERTY AND PROPERTIES

All the supporting elements of the property, walls, columns, arches, beams, joists,
mezzanines, etc., will be reviewed, detecting the areas and elements that require shoring, prior
to their consolidation or restructuring, as the case may be, later. Each of the elements, such as
doors, windows, railings, balconies, measurements and water discharge facilities that are loose
or detached, will be reviewed in order to proceed with their release and stowage or
consolidation in situ if they are original elements and not can withdraw.

III .- SURVEYS IN FLOORS, WALLS, MEzzanines AND ROOFS

The scientific basis of this activity is the controlled removal of construction and finishing
material, which allows us to have an idea of the construction and aesthetic history (partial or
general) of the property under intervention.
Stops should not be carried out if you are not under the direct supervision of a responsible
technician.
The person who materially creates the cove must be a specialized person, who during the
execution process must select what is discovered and that has no common relationship with
the specific general materials of the cove.
A daily photographic record must be made, showing the different intervention strata, and
graphic data will also be made together with a construction log where the activities per day
will be recorded.
Surveys will be carried out in the various premises of the property, as required by the project,
in order to determine the original floor levels and their possible recovery, the thickness of the
flattened floors and determine their overlap, detect door and window openings. boarded up or
other elements and their recovery, layers

according to vestiges and detect damage or state of consistency or degradation of roof
elements, such as beams, joists, vaults and other elements; situation that gives us a real vision
of the state of the property, as well as the intervention requirements necessary for its
consolidation and/or recovery.
Likewise, the state of the property's facilities, drainage, registers, downspouts, sanitary
furniture discharges, electrical installation, piped wiring, switches, contacts and rainwater
downspouts will be reviewed, making a record of each of the concepts described in plans;
and that will regulate the issuance of intervention specifications for each case and the
materials they want for its execution.

IV .- PROTECTION OF ORIGINAL ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS

Once the review of the property and the architectural elements that comprise it is completed,
each of the significant and original elements that are in good condition will be protected,
with the aim of intervention and their permanence is guaranteed without alternation of the
themselves

PRE KEY.01 GARBAGE AND DEBRIS REMOVAL

OBSERVATIONS It contemplates this activity, the set of activities to be carried out inside
and outside the property, in order to remove both plant elements and

case. Supervision will define the stowage areas for the material resulting from the cleaning. Care will
be taken not to damage construction elements, installations, finishes, and decoration during the
process. The loading and unloading of materials will be carried out as close to the storage area,

OBSERVATIONS
Tests of the product must be carried out, taking into account the
observation, supervision and advice of the specialist. The workers will be
informed of the importance of this activity, since the proper conservation
of the stonework will depend on its correct execution.

As a fundamental aspect, it should be checked that there are no soap

residues on the surface of the quarry, that is, an effective rinse will have
to be purchased.

The water to be used must be clean and free of salts.

• Neutral soap and/or canasol NM-F1000

MATERIAL AND
EQUIPMENT • root brush
• Pure water
• Sprinkler •
This activity will be carried out in sections, starting at the top of the
building and ending on the ground floor. It must be taken
PROCEDURE special care in the reliefs and decoration of facades in order not to
damage or stain these elements. During the construction process, it will
be required to insulate and protect wooden windows and doors with
previously placed nylon sheets.

of deterioration. The piece will be cleaned and consolidated, according to
the corresponding specification, restoring any missing parts. As a
material, slaked lime with river sand will be used for the grouting, while
a plaster of quarry dust and lime will be prepared for the grouting.
PROCEDURE
Original designs and materials will be respected as a construction
arrangement.

For wooden elements, it will be reviewed by pieces (moldings, strips,

etc.) and each of its parts will be cleaned and consolidated, according to
the specialist's specifications. The integration of missing items will
consist of the placement of elements that respect the design, construction

for 14 days and then a thinner based on a paste of lime and sand will
be applied.
The joints with the parapets will always be finished as a chamfer,

The wall will be rebuilt according to the existing vestiges, first removing loose and/or deteriorated
materials. The adobes and partitions will be laid with the lime-sand mortar in a 1:2 proportion.
The placement of adobe must be alternated with brick on both the interior and exterior parameters
PROCEDURE of the wall, giving the required thickness. It is important that the joints of
these materials be scratched with tezontle or stone so that the flattened
ones that are placed later have greater adhesion to the wall.

mutilated element and fragments of new manufacture.

Mass fragments relatively small with respect to the mutilated element can
be restored to their place using
