2 Codes & Standards
2.01 The valves shall conform to latest editions and addenda of following codes & standards unless otherwise stated.
2.02 American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME) ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, ASME 16.34, ASME B 16.11, ASME B 16.25, ASME B 16.10, ASME B 16.5 as applicable.
2.03 American Petroleum Institute (API), API 600, API 602, API 607 as applicable.
2.04 The material of construction shall comply with - ASME Sec. II Part A.
2.05 Valves shall also meet the requirements of Purchase Specifications given in Valve schedule.
In conflict between requirements as per this specification/Valve schedule & ASME/API, requirements of ASME/API will govern. However if requirements of this
2.06 specification/Valve schedule are stringent than ASME, this specification/Valve schedule shall gover
