HISTORY

In July 1990, at the National Session for the United Supreme Council Convened in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, it became apparent that there existed a disagreement between the national heads
The Original General Grand Masonic Congress of Grand Masters and The United Supreme Council Org
April 5, 1869

This disagreement broadened and it became apparent that this would affect the local level, after a
discussion regarding affiliation agreement with the United Supreme council; the brothers could not arrive
at a mutual understanding. Therefore, the Honorable Frank J. Bobo was advised that a group of brothers
wanted to remain with the United Supreme Council and felt they had no choice but to leave
The M.W. Son of Light Grand Lodge A.F. & A.M. in order to stay with the United Supreme Council.

On September 6, 1990 an Ad Hoc Committee met at the Sheraton Plaza La Riena Hotel, in Los Angeles,
California to discuss the reorganization of the Grand Lodge and Grand Chapter for the state of California
The foundation was laid, and on November 17, 1990 the Grand Lodge for the State of California and the
Order of the Easter Star was officially organized at the Stouffer Concourse Hotel in the City of Los
Angeles, State of California. After the Grand Session In 2007 the Grand Lodge reorganized under the
customs of the land marks of Mason.
