VII. Activity:

A. Situation:
Republic Act No. 10743, also known as "An Act Declaring October 5th as National
Teachers' Day," and UNESCO jointly recognize October 5th as both National Teachers'
Day (NTD) and World Teachers' Day (WTD). This day is dedicated to showing
appreciation for educators and recognizing their pivotal role in guiding and shaping
individuals of all ages through a lifelong learning journey, ultimately shaping them into
valuable members of society.

2
In the Philippines, this celebration has been extended to a month-long
observance, proclaimed in 2011 through Proclamation No. 242. This period spans
September 5th to October 5th and is marked with the theme "Together4Teachers."

With the theme "Together4Teachers", you will create an online portal or

website using Blogger or WordPress with content that acknowledges and emphasizes
teachers' crucial role, loyal service, and dedicated commitment to developing globally-
minded citizens, nurturing families, strengthening communities, and building the nation.

B. Task
Subjects Task
Online Portal or Website
Empowerment 1. Develop an online portal or website to showcase and
Technologies share existing and previously developed content using
Blogger or WordPress.
2. Share and showcase existing or previously developed
material in the form of a collaboratively designed
newsletter or blog site intended for a specific audience
or viewer.
3. Follow an overall theme “Together4Teachers.”
Earth and Life 1. Develop a survey questionnaire that will help assess the
Science geologic and hydrometeorological hazards in the
community. Make sure to include questions about:
a. Past experiences related to geologic/
hydrometeorological events.
b. Preparedness measures taken by individuals.
c. The role of teachers in spreading awareness and
educating about these hazards.
Make sure the questionnaire also captures stories/
testimonies of teachers who have shown exceptional
commitment during past geologic/hydrometeorological
events, showcasing their dedication to the community
and nation.
2. Distribute the survey to the school community (i.e.,
teachers, students, and non-teaching)
3. Collate the data collected from the survey. Analyze the
data to identify:
a. The potential geologic/ hydrometeorological
hazards in the school community.
b. The community's level of preparedness.
c. The role of teachers in educating and spreading
awareness about these hazards.
4. Create an online portal or website showcasing your
findings.
a. The presentation should:
i. Highlight potential hazards.
ii. Emphasize the role of teachers in safeguarding
the community and their contribution during past
events. And the measures they've taken during
past events.

3
Oral Communication 1. Prewrite interview questions (at least 10 or more)
focusing on the activities of teacher/s that reflect their
role as "Hazard Heroes" in the community. The
questions should revolve on their knowledge,
experiences, and the steps they've taken to prepare for
hazards (identified in Earth and Life Science).
2. Select a few teachers from ISNHS and conduct in-depth
interviews with them using the prepared guide questions.
Find out how they've incorporated hazard education in
their teaching or any initiatives they've started to
increase community preparedness.
3. The interview questions should highlight the application
of the tips to avoid communication breakdown [7Cs by
Broom, Cutlip, and Center (2012)], to wit:
a. Completeness
b. Conciseness
c. Consideration
d. Concreteness
e. Courtesy
f. Clearness
g. Correctness
4. Before the conduct of the interview, the learner must
seek permission first from the interviewee (i.e., teacher)
for the conversation to be recorded.
5. Record the interview.
6. The audio- recording, as source of raw data, will be
submitted to the teacher of Oral Communication through
email, messenger, use of flash drive, or can be
incorporated in the online portal or website as may be
instructed by the Empowerment Technologies teacher.
General Modeling Senior High School Enrollment Trends
Mathematics 1. Data Collection on Senior High Enrollment
Gather the enrollment data for senior high school in
for the past six years. This could be obtained from
the school's administrative or Learners Information
System (LIS) Coordinator.
2. Variable Selection:
The primary independent variable would be the
'year' (from Year 1 to Year 6), and the dependent
variable would be the 'number of enrollees' for each
of those years.
3. Function Construction:
Based on the data collected, choose appropriate
mathematical functions (e.g., linear, quadratic) that
best fit the enrollment trend over the years.
4. Model Analysis:
Analyze the constructed model to:
- Predict enrollment trends for the next couple
of years.

4
- Determine any significant increases or
decreases and hypothesize the potential
reasons, focusing on how teachers' roles and
contributions might have influenced these
trends.
5. Presentation:
Write a reflection highlighting the trend, its
implications for the school's future, and emphasize
the role of teachers in shaping these enrollment
figures, not just teaching but also making the senior
high school appealing for enrollment connecting it to
the "Together4Teachers" theme and publish it in an
online portal or website.
21st Century 1. Write a Together4Teachers story about your
Literature from the unforgettable teacher that emphasizes teachers' loyal
Philippines and the service, and dedicated commitment to developing
World globally minded citizens, nurturing families,
strengthening communities, and building the nation.
2. Observe the basic elements in writing a short story.
a. Setting
b. Plot
c. Characterization
d. Point of View
e. Conflict
f. Theme
3. Use figurative language and local color.
4. Publish the short story in an online portal or
website.

3. Ang tula ay binubuo ng limang talata na walang sukat
at tugma.
4. Ilathala ang iyong awput sa ginawang website gamit ang online
portal or website.
Physical Education 1. Create an online portal or website that depicts and
and Health 1 highlights the story of your chosen teacher.

Business Proportional Decision Making in Real Life

Mathematics 1. In recognition of the theme "Together4Teachers,"
which highlights the essential role of teachers in
shaping responsible and globally minded citizens,
your task is to demonstrate the practical application
of proportions in real-life decision-making. You will be
addressing scenarios related to personal finance,
budgeting, and resource allocation.
2. Imagine you are a teacher who just received your
monthly salary. You want to allocate your income to
various expenses rationally and responsibly. Create
a budget plan that includes the following categories:

5
• Rent/mortgage
• Groceries
• Transportation
• Utilities (electricity, water, internet, etc.)
• Savings
• Entertainment/Leisure
• Miscellaneous (any other necessary expenses)
3. Using the concept of proportion, allocate a
reasonable percentage of your income to each
category. Explain your reasoning behind these
allocations. Ensure that your budget does not exceed
your monthly income.
4. Publish your report in an online portal or website
explaining your decisions and calculations. Be sure
to emphasize how the concept of proportion helped
you make informed choices. Additionally, reflect on
the role of teachers in promoting financial literacy and
responsible decision-making in their communities.
Organization and 1. Emphasize the importance of the National Teachers
Management Month theme "Together4Teachers" when
introducing your survey (Task for Earth and Life
Science), highlighting teachers' contribution to the
community's safety and well-being.
2. Write a reflection on how teachers deal with learners'
economic and psychological challenges using the
skills, roles, and functions of managers in the
classroom based on the interview and publish it in an
online portal or website.
