VERB BE
El verbo TO BE, es aquel verbo que tiene la traducción de: SER o ESTAR, en el idioma inglés goza de una
particular importancia y su significado depende del sentido de la oración.

AFFIRMATIVE FORM:

SUJETO + V. BE + COMP.

EXAMPLES:
a. We are in the game.  Nosotros estamos en el juego.
b. We are players  Nosotros somos jugadores.

El verbo TO BE, es aquel verbo que tiene la traducción de: SER o ESTAR, en el idioma inglés goza de una
particular importancia y su significado depende del sentido de la oración.

NEGATIVE FORM:

SUJETO + V. BE + NOT + COMP.

EXAMPLES:

a. He is not in the class.  El no está en la clase.


b. He is not my partner.  El no es mi compañero.

IMPORTANT: Para realizar la negación con el verbo TO BE empleamos el auxiliar NOT, el cual
trabajara con todos los pronombres (I, YOU, HE, SHE, IT, WE, THEY)

IMPORTANT: El verbo to “be” en negación puede ser contraído con el pronombre y tendrá el mismo
significado: SHE IS NOT = SHE ISN’T WE ARE NOT = WERE’T
