The Impact of Social Media on Academic Performance of
Undergraduate Students at a Selected Polytechnic University

group of undergraduate students, taking a course in research
methodology at the College of Humanities and Educational
Sciences, Palestine Polytechnic University. The research aims to
examine the impact of social media on Academic Performance of
Undergraduate Students at a Selected Polytechnic University.

3.How does social media positively affect students’ academic
performance?
-Do you think that social media has positive effects on students’
academic performance? How? (e.g. Useful materials, assignments,
group discussions, communication, announcements, English
language, save time, etc.)
-Would you share good examples for the positive effects of social

4.How does social media negatively affect students’ academic
