1 – Introduction:

One piece of PCBA were received from EMS2 for Dye & Pry analysis. The specimens
to be tested were specified as follows.

3 - Test Procedure :

Clean any flux residue from around the BGA solder bumps using an approved Flux
Remover. Immerse the sectioned sample in the dye then place it into vacuum chamber
to aid in dye penetration. Dry the sample in an oven by baking at 100℃ for up to 3
hours. The component is removed by mechanical method. Use microscope to examine
the board and part, take photos of dyed regions.
