AC Meeting

Topic of Discussion

1. About the academic calendar

After extensive discussions on the issue of the academic calendar for graduates and those
in 2nd year and above, it has been decided to continue as per the previous calendar, which
is prepared by the registrar's office on the basis of the head office calendar.

2. About Departments office hours

Several comments were raised by AC members on issues related to office hour departments.

The issues are,

 Those departments are not available during office hours. In particular, that there are
many complaints from the student side about the Accounting Department.
 Furthermore, it was raised by the AC members as comments and criticisms that the
department is not doing the things assigned to it by the registrar and the Dean's office
in a timely manner.

After in-depth discussion on the above issues, the following solutions were suggested:

 Regarding repeated complaints raised against the Accounting Department, the


alternative solution has been given by the AC. The solution is that if this issue
continues in this way, it can harm the students as well as the institution. Therefore, the
AC today decided that Teacher Habtamu Teshome, who was the Head of Accounting
& Finance Department, will be replaced by Teacher Getahun Guta as the Head of
Accounting & Finance Department.
 It was agreed that the two departments would use their office hours in the future to
accommodate our students and provide lasting solutions to complaints and other
issues raised.
3. About TVET Supervision
 Since TVET Supervision will be conducted from October 14 and the exact date of
arrival of our campuses is unknown, it has been decided to make necessary
arrangements from now on.
 In connection with the TVET Supervision issue, Teacher Meseret Tesfaye of
TVET Marketing Department does not have many classes and the AC has decided
that Meseret will work on it as a responsibility.
4. About New Registration

Regarding the issue of new student registration, the AC has decided to work on the
announcement before the registration process for this year. To do this advertisement,
advertising teams are needed and AC has selected the following three people who are
employees of our campus as our promotion team. They are:
