EASTERN EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY INVENTORY

Directions: Read the following statements and views about schools and teaching. Using
the scale, write your responses with 5 – Strongly Agree, 4 – Agree, 3 – Neutral, 2 –
Disagree, and 1 – Strongly Disagree.
______1. Every person should build moral character rather than merely teaching
skills or information.
______2. We should avoid personal gratification because it is the root of sufferings
in the world.
______3. Deeds are more important than arguments.
______4. People should observe praying, fasting, almsgiving and pilgrimage.
______5. I believe that humans are born innocent – and as long as they conquer their
evil impulses they remain innocent.

and the other evil.

______27. I believe in the notion of Karma.
______28. I consider that cowardice is condemned as a sin.
______29. Man should avoid drunkenness.
______30. I believe in the idea that humans are born with a free will, and has the
choice between good and evil.
Interpreting your Response:

WESTERN EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY INVENTORY
