What is a gerund?
A gerund is a verb with an ”ing“ ending that
functions as a nown in a sentence.
1.-Gerund as subjects:
Reading helps you learn English.
Noun + verb + complement.
Drawing is my favorite hobby.
Noun + verb + complement.
Playing is good to be healthy.
Noun + verb + complement.
Painting is fun.
Noun + verb + complement.
Watching TV is my favorite hobby.
Noun + verb + complement.
2.-Gerund as objects:
Luke likes playing video games.
Subject + verb + object (gerund) + complement.
I am good at cooking
Subject + verb + object (gerund) + complement.
I love going to the movies
Subject + verb + object (gerund) + complement.
I feel like studying.
Subject + verb + object (gerund) + complement.
She hates cleaning her room.
Subject + verb + object (gerund) + complement.
I enjoy working.
Subject + verb + object (gerund).
He can´t stand listening to music.
