OBSERVATION REPORT
Title : Lathe machine parts and equipment
Carriage / Sled
The carriage consists of a sled, tool holder and apron. To withstand the load
and direct the sled/carriage cutting tool must have a strong structure. This
carriage has two cross slides that serve to direct the chisel in the cross
direction. The upper spindle controls the movement of the tool mount and the
upper spindle to move the stand along the base.
Bed/Machine Mat
This bed or base serves for a sled or carriage position. The machine base is
part of the main frame of the lathe, on which the carriage and headstock rest
and move, while the groove for the machine base is V-shaped, flat or flat.
Chuck
Chucks are primarily used for clamping workpieces, especially those of short
length and large diameter or of irregular shape which cannot be fitted
comfortably between centres. It can be attached to the lathe by tightening at
the end of the spindle.
Live Rotate and Fixed So that the long workpiece is stable Flashlight is
required. Adad flashlight dies (fixed) mounted on the main axis of the machine
(main spindle) and a swivel flashlight mounted on the end of the head off
The function of the chuck key is to tighten and loosen the chuck jaw on the
lathe. L lock/Hexagon lock The L lock is very widely used, one of which is to
tighten and loosen tool posts.
Ruler Roll Made from a steel plate that is thinner than a steel ruler, the
function of this rolling ruler is to measure workpieces whose length exceeds
100 cm.
Brushes, workpieces and even machine beds are often dirty due to lathe working. The
function of the brush is to clean the table
