Research Proposal

Name of Researcher: Sophia

Proposed Research Question: Should the rights of an unborn be more important than the rights of the mother?
Proposed Research Title: Abortion Laws: Roe V Wade
Proposed Topic: Abortion Laws

1. Reasons why you want to answer or solve your question:

I would like to answer this question because I would like to know the effects of different morals and point of views
in terms of the decision of having abortion rights for pregnant women or girls and if the laws that uphold this
would be able to take accountability for the consequences that follows.

Teacher’s comments:
2A. What is the aim/goal of doing this research?
The aim/goal of answering our research question is to know how much of the laws affect the different lives of
women when they want an abortion and whether exceptions is applied for every case in certain states and how
different each state treats these laws.

2B. Why is the above your aim/goal?

This is my aim/goal because this could severely affect more women than it already has if the laws become more
severe.

3A. What do you predict you will find by doing this research? (This should answer your research
question in the header above – ask yourself your question and then answer it here, before doing your research)
My prediction is that many people would agree on women having rights to get their abortions or to their own
bodies in general.

3B. Why are you predicting you will find this?

This is my prediction due to the massive up rise caused by the laws being formed in the first place.

C. Interview a few women who are affected by these laws.
D. Make a PowerPoint presentation explaining the results of my research to share with others.
