improve reading and other skills, illustrate
or reinforce a skill, fact, or idea, and
relieve anxiety, fears, or boredom.

A learning aid is something intended to


enhance learning and retention by the
learner. They may include, but are not
limited to: written materials, visualizations,
charts, diagrams, processes, strategies, or
any other appropriate item.

❖Learning aids are books, notes, charts,
computers, recordings, diagrams or any
equipment, tools, and devices that aids in
the learning and development process.
❖Learning aids enhance
one's learning abilities and help to
increase one's learning potential.

Learning Aids help individuals grasp the


concept of learning new skills and
techniques by:-
1. Seeing
2. Hearing
3. Touching
4. Exploring the environment around them.

Learning aids are available according to


the three types of learners:
1. Visual
2. Auditory
3. Kinesthetic.
Visual Learners
For example, visual learners will benefit
from watching movies, slides, charts,
maps and hands-on demonstrations.
Auditory Learners

Auditory learners will


benefit best from
voice recognition
software, recordings,
oral speeches and
speech software.
Kinesthetic learners
Kinesthetic learners
learn best from hands
on experience. They
need to feel, touch and
interact with the
learning process.
• Kinesthetic learners learn by doing, movement feels
like, sensory perception of movement.
