A RESOLUTION IMPLEMENTING THE WASTE SEGREGATION HABIT
WHEREAS, the Bislig City National High School YES Organization have seen the problem of the
school regarding the waste segregation.
WHEREAS, in the meeting of the YES Organization conducted on August 29, 2023 at Bislig City
National High School, Albert M. Manlucob III, YES-O President respectively, motioned that there should be a
waste segregation habit. Each classroom will be monitored through a Waste Segregation Evaluation Sheet.
WHEREAS, such motion was duly seconded by the YES-O officers, respectively.
WHEREAS, it was emphasized that the waste segregation habit evaluation be conducted every
afternoon by the grade level representative of the YES-O organization.
WHEREAS, the YES Organization will be charging fines for the following reasons;
1. Improper waste segregation every after checking at 4:00 in the afternoon.
2. Burning of plastics anywhere in school.
3. Caught throwing garbage in the wrong receptacle.
WHEREAS, fines are charged in the following manner;
1st Offense- 20 pesos
2nd Offense- 50 pesos
3rd Offense-100 pesos
4th Offense- 500 pesos
5th Offense- 1000 pesos
WHEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the plastic waste segregation habit be adopted in
the entire school and shall take effect immediately upon approval.

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE BANNING OF SINGLE USE PLASTIC
WHEREAS, Bislig City National High School YES Organization are one with the world
in defending, preserving, and saving the environment against exploitation and misuse.
WHEREAS, in the meeting of the YES Organization officers together with the YES-O
adviser conducted on August 29, 2023 at Bislig City National High School, Albert M. Manlucob,
YES-O President respectively, motioned that there should be an adaptation of the BANNING
OF SINGLE USE PLASTIC.
WHEREAS, such motion was duly seconded by YES-O officers respectively.
WHEREAS, it was emphasized that the SINGLE USE PLASTIC throughout the whole
school year.
WHEREAS, the YES Organization will be charging fines for the following reasons;
1. Plastics are found in the receptacles every after checking at 4:00 in the afternoon.
2. Caught littering of single use plastic anywhere in school.
3. Bringing of any form of single use plastic in school.
WHEREAS, fines are charged in the following manner;
1st Offense- 20 pesos
2nd Offense- 50 pesos
3rd Offense-100 pesos
4th Offense- 500 pesos
5th Offense- 1000 pesos
WHEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that this resolution ADOPTING THE
SINGLE USE PLASTIC be implemented and shall take effect immediately upon approval.

A RESOLUTION IMPLEMENTING “THE CLEANEST AND GREENEST SECTION OF THE
WEEK PROGRAM” UNDER LAKBAY LINIS PROGRAM OF YOUTH FOR ENVIRONMENT
FOR SCHOOLS ORGANIZATION OF BISLIG CITY NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL FROM
GRADE 7 TO GRADE 12 CLASSROOMS
WHEREAS, Bislig City National High School YES Organization has the potential to
make positive, tangible environmental change in the world while teaching students to be stewards
of their communities, the earth and its resources.
WHEREAS, schools are important consumers of natural resources, including energy,
water, food, and paper, and generators of waste materials, including garbage, runoff, and air
emissions, which contribute to the world’s larger environmental problems like global warming,
water and air pollution, and habitat destruction.
WHEREAS, students, teachers, and staff are regularly exposed to toxic chemicals at
school, are offered poor and unhealthy food choices, and use and manage resources unsustainably
resulting in negative impacts on their health and their ability to teach and learn.
WHEREAS, many options and choices exist for schools to use natural resources more
efficiently; to reduce, reuse, and recycle; to follow “Healthy, High Performance School
Guidelines” for construction; to produce healthy lunches through local farm–to–school
partnerships; to eliminate toxic chemicals; and to purchase (or produce) clean energy and
recycled paper to protect our global environment.
WHEREAS, there is a tremendous opportunity to teach students about ecological
sustainability, environmental health and nutrition; integrate environmental education into
curricula; and support students to become leaders in making their own school a healthier and
more ecologically friendly place;
Recognizing that this framework creates a long–term, inspiring vision that integrates and
strengthens many efforts in our School.
Further recognizing that fully implementing this resolution will take time, and must be
achieved in stages.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that to promote healthier, more environmentally
sustainable school and teach environmental leadership, the YES-O hereby:
1. Adopts the Precautionary Principle as the foundation for its environmental policy
under RA 9003.
2. A program to ensure that Bislig City National High School are built and existing
schools refurbished following Healthy, High Performance school building criteria that mandate
the use of environmentally sound building material, efficient use of energy, water and other
resources, and the creation of a healthy learning environment for students.
3. the creation of School–wide recycling and composting programs, along with the
procurement of recycled office and classroom supplies.
4. encourage the development of classroom gardens and green schoolyards as hands–on
learning tools that promote good nutrition, stewardship of the land, and that teach to standards.
5. Adopt frameworks that meet state standards and integrate environmental education and
student participation into school–wide environmental initiatives, using partnerships with
environmental education providers.
WHEREAS, in the meeting of the YES Organization conducted on August 29, 2023 at
Bislig City National High School, Albert M. Manlucob III, YES-O President respectively,
motioned that each classroom will be monitored through LAKBAY LINIS Evaluation Sheet and
the highest point earner per grade level will be awarded as the CLEANEST CLASSROOM AND
GREENEST CLASSROOM.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution No.003 “A Resolution implementing the
cleanest and greenest section of the week program under OPLAN LAKBAY LINIS PROGRAM
that all students must adopt the full implementation of the said program of Bislig City National
High School.
WHEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that this resolution ADOPTING THE
LAKBAY LINIS PROGRAM be implemented and shall take effect immediately upon approval.
