How I Eat a
Gingerbread Cookie
This is a fun activity to do during
your gingerbread unit. First, bring in
some gingerbread cookies for the
children to sample. Brainstorm words
to describe how the cookie looks,
tastes, feels, and smells. Write them
on a large chart and have your
students write them on their paper.
Then, have the children map out the
order in which they ate their cookie,
by coloring in the body parts the
appropriate colors. Finally, students
will write an essay, writing the order in
which they ate their cookie and
including descriptive words for each
bite taken. Click here to see my blog
post about this fun activity!
