Zusammenfassung
Im Unterschied zu den idg. Kausativa vom Typ ai. bôdhâyâmi und got. fullja sind
deren aksl. Entsprechungen hauptsächlich als präfigierte Verba mit Aspektpartnern
belegt; vgl. vbzbuditi (ipf. vbzbuidati), isplmiti (ipf. isplbnjati) usw. Seltener kommen
solche Aspektpaare ohne Präfixe vor, z. B. iiviti (pf.) / iivljati (ipf.) 'beleben' (vgl. ai.
jïvdyâmi)-, diese unterscheiden sich gerade durch die Bildung ihrer Aspektpartner von
den Iterativa des gleichen morphologischen Typs wie z. B. voziti, voiç (vgl. got.
wagja, gr. ôxéopai), der konsequent imperfektiv ist. Diesen Unterschied erklärt der
Autor im Zusammenhang mit der Entstehung des slavischen Verbalaspekts: Während
diese alten Iterativa, die eine indeterminierte Handlung („iterativ-ziellos", „indéterminé")
bezeichneten, imperfektiv geworden sind, erhielten die alten determinierten Kausativa,
die eine konkret einmalige, zielgerichtete — ihrer Vollendung zustrebende — Hand
lung bezeichneten, die vollendete aspektuelle Bedeutung.
Perfektiv wurden also diejenigen alten präfigierten und unpräfigierten Verba, die
eine Handlung ausdrückten, bei der ein Objekt oder Subjekt in einen bestimmten Zu
stand (vbzbuditi) bzw. in eine Lage (vsmèstiti) gelangt oder eine bestimmte Eigenschaft
(iobnoviti, svoboditi) usw. annimmt. Die dazugehörenden unpräfigierten Imperfektiva à
la buditi in der Bedeutung des alten präfigierten vbzbuidati sind erst das Resultat der
späteren Entwicklung des slavischen Aspektsystems. Man kann sie folgendermaßen
erklären: Ursprünglich entstand aus dem Präpositionalsyntagma *vsz budb 'hinauf
zum Wachzustand' ein hypostasiertes determiniertes Verbum *vszbuditi 'hinauf in
einen Wachzustand versetzen (pf. + ipf.)'; auf der Grundlage dieser determinierten
Bedeutung wurde es zum Perfektivum und erwarb ein imperfektives Pendant * vbz
buidati hinzu. Durch den Einfluß des grundlegenden ökonomischen Entwicklungs
prinzips wurde diese aus zwei formal distinktiven Zeichen (*vbzbud-i-ti : *vbz-hud-ja
ti) bestehende symmetrische Korrelation durch eine asymmetrische sparsamere Korrela
tion (vbz-buditi : buditi) mit einem einzigen distinktiven Zeichen, dem Verbalpräfix,
ersetzt.
