1. As dyslexia is a common disability, do general educators get training on working with students
with dyslexia?

2. What advice would you give another teacher as to how they could help support students with
dyslexia in the classroom?

3. Do you have tips or suggestions on how students can advocate for themselves with their
classroom teachers?
4. What tips do you have for families and students who are newly diagnosed with a learning
challenge when working with their assigned person (i.e. case worker) after an IEP is created?

5. Do you think more should be done to support classroom teachers with working with students
who have an IEP and if so, what do you think would be helpful?
