Application for Permission to Enter the Eastern Harbour Tunnel Area and to Work in the Tunnel Area

We hereby apply for permission to enter the Eastern Harbour Tunnel (EHT) area and to work in the
tunnel area. The schedule of our visit is shown below: -

We confirm that we (including our staff and contractors) shall fully observe the following requirements/
procedures when our staff / contractors visit to or work in the EHT area: -

1. To fully follow the instructions of PIL staff to ensure safe and smooth operation of the tunnel.
2. To work only between 00:30 hour and 05:00 hour if the work is to take place inside tunnel tube.
3. To fully comply with all the statutory Ordinances and Regulations on work safety including but not
limited to the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance (Chapter 59) and the Occupational
Safety and Health Ordinance (Chapter 509), and their subsidiary legislations.
4. To effect Employee Compensation Insurance, third party liability insurance and contractors’ all risks
insurance policy and to fully indemnify PIL against all claims, actions, losses or damages arising
directly or indirectly from the above-mentioned works.
5. To fully comply with PIL’s guidelines (對外指引) for working in the tunnel area. We will ensure that our
workers/contractors understand and follow PIL’s guidelines before they enter into the EHT area.
