华文： 功课的重要性
首先，功课是让老师了解学生对课题理解透彻度的重
要桥梁。一般老师在课堂时同时教授多人，因此，往
往未必能够及时察觉到某些学生对当天课题的困惑，
通过批阅学生的家课便可深入了解各学生对课题的掌
握程度，从而在教学方针上作出调节，令学生在学习
过程中更有裨益。其次，功课能够加深学生对新知识
的印象。一本名为《号角月报》的报刊就讨论功课必
要性的议题上提及到卑诗大学教育社会学者昂格莱德
教授指出：功课不是故作姿态，因为反覆练习对学习
是有必要性。由此看来，学生透过做功课的过程，反
覆练习同一学科的题目确实能加强他们对该知识的记
忆。再者，功课能提升学生独自解决问题的能力。一
般学生都是独自完成家课的，过程中都会面对多多少
少的困难，往往需要自己尝试从书本或其他途径寻找
答案，完成老师所委派的作业。久而久之，他们除了
能够在功课时段巩固自己所学的知识外，还可养成了
独自解决问题的习惯，对学生往后的人生旅途上，奠
下了良好的基础。

Cigarettes or vapes contain a chemical called nicotine,
which makes smokers addicted to them. Nicotine can
cause irritation and burning sensation in the mouth and
throat, increased salivation, nausea, abdominal pain,
vomiting and diarrhea to the smoker. Although the
common belief is that smoking helps the smoker relax,
instead it increases anxiety and tension. Which is why it is
important to smokers to quit smoking, or better, stay away
from cigarettes overall. By quitting smoking, ex-smokers
can not only protect their family members, friends, and
everyone around them from health risks associated with
breathing secondhand smoke but themselves too. For
example, lung cancer is widely caused by the exposure to
too much tobacco. Smoking is also the major cause for
stroke, cardiovascular diseases, heart diseases, bronchitis
and a lot more.

Pencemaran alam sekitar semakin menjadi parah barah
dengan era globalisasi. Itu sebabnya kita mestilah Bersama
sama berkitar semula untuk menjaga bumi kita.
Kepentingan kitar semula semula kepada alam sekitar
pula adalah dapat mengurangkan pencemaran alam
daripada terus berlaku. Sikap tidak bertanggungjawab
segelintit manusia yang membuang sisa-sisa yang tidak
sepatutnya ke dalam sungai dan laut telah menyebabkan
insiden yang tidak dinging berlaku.
