Senior Project Proposal: Art Fest

(Extended Troubacon and Art Fair)

What would the art fair consist of?


- Art Competition: Teams of two or individuals will sign up for art competition,
participants get 1 hour to make a work of art on canvas (will put tarps down on
amphitheater). Judges will be Keera, Chase, Claire, and Mrs. Timmons. Winner(s) gets a
shirt.
- Children Craft: A table set to the side of the showcase with activities targeted at kids
grades 4–8. I have yet to decide on the craft, but possibilities include mini canvases,
collages, “how to draw ___,” make your own sketchbooks, etc. Possible facepainting
- Art Showcase: People will sing you to showcase their art and depending on how many
people there are we will set up tables and places for people to show there art and the day
of the Art Fest People can set up there art work to show off

Members: Chase Cardenas, Keera Rico, Claire Chauvin


Each Person’s role:
Chase Cardenas: In charge of organizing the art showcase so that means getting people
to show off their art and getting the tables and the supplies. Help get the word out and
help advertise the art fair.
Keera Rico: In charge of marketing the art competition, bringing necessary supplies on
art fair day, researching how to run a successful competition and art fair, will spread
messages through social media.
Claire Chauvin: Plan the children’s craft and collect a sufficient amount of supplies for
the activity, through fundraising or otherwise. Help get the word out and advertise the art
fair.

How we plan to Publicize:
- Schools: Visiting schools and asking our mentor to pass out small fliers for the event
prior to the date. Teaching a small art activity at elementary or middle school
- Online: Publicising the event by postinbg on art club instagram and asking others to
publicize
- Art Club: Askin art club member to aprtcipate in the art competition and to showcase
their work, inviting younger siblings
- Fliers: Postimnga round schools, businesses and our own school.
- Announcements: With permission–post in morning announcements

- Dealing with the school institutions and businesses in a professional manner


- Using our deep knowledge of art to judge the art competition
- Create activities that are family friendly and creative to teach children
- Also use our basic knowledge of math to keep numbers of money we use for our
project and how much we need to use as well as how to budget

S: Skill-

- When creating fliers, create an appealing and eye catching flier to attract an
audience
- Making art to exhibit at the fair
- Judging the art competition
- Creating example for children to make at the art fair
- Teaching and puttin on the event responsibly
- Art club T shirt designs

- Made more for families and give them more stuff to do at the event for many ages
- We are all working on separate parts of the event even though we are doing the art
fest together
- Adding new parts that have not been done before
- Working hard to make it a good, fun, and organized event for everyone
