Dagohoy’s Revolt
july 4, 1744 - august 31, 1829
Several factors contributed to
the outbreak of the revolt
including;
forced labor
tribute collection
abuses by the clergy
disputes over land and
privileges
local priest refused to bury

It took place on the island of Bohol in the


Visayas region and lasted for 85 years, from
July 4th, 1744 to August 31, 1829.
