TO : All Officers and Personnel of the Philippine National Police

SUBJECT : Proper Waste Disposal Policy
DATE : May 18, 2023

The
Philippine National Police (PNP) is implementing a strict policy on proper waste disposal in all
police statons and offices nationwide. Effective immediately, all officers and personnel muse adhere to
the following guidelines.

1. Segregate waste into biodegradable and non – biodegradable categories

2. Dispose of biodegradable waste through composting or other eco – friendly methods in designated
Compost bins or area.
3. Dispose of non – biodegradable waste in properly labeled bins or receptacles and utilize recycling or
Waste treatnebt facilities for its proper disposal
4. Prohibited the burning of garbage or waste materials due to the associated air pollution and health
Risk.
5. Educate and encourage local communities to practice proper waste management through information
 Drives and conduct regular clean – up activities, and coordinate with the Municipal and Barangy
Local Government Units for prope implementation
6. Recycling the policy encourages the recycling of materials such as paper, cardboard,plastics,
Glass, and aluminum cans. It highlights the important of properly rinsing and preparing recyclables
For recycling bins.
7. Continuous Improvement Regularly evaluating the effectiveness of waste management policies
And practies, identifying areas for improvement, and adopting innovative technologies or approaches
To minimize waste generationand optimize resource recovery.

Compliance with this policy is mandatory, as the PNP aims to demonstrate environmental responsibility
And serve as a positive role model for the communities we protect. Violations will be subject to sactions.
