PRE-ACTIVITY

A.

1. My uncle is already at the age of 62 and smokes like there is no tomorrow. He can finish
at least one pack of cigarettes a day. I always remind him that smoking can cause serious
problems to his cardiovascular system. Especially to his lungs but he won't listen to
anything and do whatever he wants.
2. One of my close friends whose name is Claire likes to party and get wasted even though
she's still young. She drinks alcohol and won't stop even though she had enough. I always
advise her to minimize or just stop her habit of drinking alcohol because it can seriously
damage her liver and can also cause cancer.
3. My sister and her friends are playing in the muddy puddle. One of my sister's playmates
has a very big wound near his ankle. I told him not to play and avoid getting his wounds
touched by the dirty puddle but he didn't listen.
4. My cousin always eats without even cleaning and washing her hands. I always scold her
that it's very disgusting and unhealthy.
5. I always remind my baby cousin to brush his teeth after eating candies and chocolates
since he likes sweets a lot. You can see him eating almost 2 packs of candies every day.

B.

1. My advice was ignored by him multiple times. He doesn’t believe that smoking can one
day kill him.
2. She gets very aggressive and mad every time I try bringing up and advising her about her
drinking habits that's why I stop and let her do whatever she wants.
3. Kids do whatever they want and they won't listen to anything you say even if it's for their
own good.
4. My cousin is very hard-headed and won't listen to anything I say.
5. Kids will eat anything they want and won’t stop until they had enough. Banning him
from eating sweets will only result to a crying mess.

C.

1. If he would have listened to me before and stop inhaling a pack of cigarettes everyday
then he wouldn’t have suffered from lung disease and difficulty of breathing right now.
2. If she would have listened to me before and taken my advice seriously then she would
have avoided going to the hospital and getting her stomach pumped because of excessive
drinking
3. If the little guy listened to me before then he could have avoided getting his wounds
infected.
4. I should have pursued her more to clean her hands before eating then she would have
avoided having diarrhea.
5. I should have given more patience and time to explain the importance of brushing his
teeth after eating sweets then he wouldn't be getting a toothache right now.
