ACTIVITIES/APPLICATION PART

I am going to show some pictures and all you have to do is to identify the pictures and all you have to do is to
identify the pictures and try to guess and answer what type of components of fitness is given.

ANALYSIS
Now that you know what are the components of fitness and had to guess it correctly, let’s try to read the
definition of each component’s of fitness in order to fully understand it.

The components of physical fitness can be divided into two categories: skill-related components and health-related
components.

Skilled Components of Physical Fitness:

1. Agility: The ability to change direction quickly and accurately.

2. Balance: The ability to maintain stability while stationary or moving.

3. Coordination: The ability to use different parts of the body together efficiently.

4. Power: The ability to exert force quickly and effectively.

5. Reaction time: The speed at which an individual responds to a stimulus.

6. Speed: The ability to move quickly.

7. Accuracy: The ability to perform movements with precision and correctness.

Health-Related Components of Physical Fitness:

1. Cardiovascular Endurance: The ability of the heart, blood vessels, and lungs to supply oxygen and nutrients to the
muscles during sustained physical activity.

2. Muscular Strength: The amount of force a muscle or muscle group can exert against a resistance.

3. Muscular Endurance: The ability of a muscle or muscle group to repeatedly exert force or resist fatigue.

4. Flexibility: The range of motion available at a joint or group of joints.

5. Body Composition: The relative proportions of fat, muscle, bone, and other tissues that make up the body. These
components are essential for overall physical fitness and performance in various activities.

Skilled components are specific to certain sports or activities, while health-related components contribute to overall well-
being and functionality of the body.
Do you understand the components of fitness students

(Yes Teachers)

Why do you think it is important to understand and to know the different components of fitness students

(Students answered)

Tips for writing SMART Objectives

Specific ● Define what you expect

● Determine who will do it

● Detail accountability

● Use action verbs, expressing physical or mental action, as much as possible

● Provide enough detail - this depends on the objective but should be enough to be
clear
Measurable ● Identify how you will know objective was accomplished – usually this means
quantity but can also be quality (for instance, “80% of participants agree or
strongly agree on the feedback form”)
Attainable ● Make sure you have the time, manpower, resources, and
authority to accomplish the objective
● Consider if there may be factors beyond your control
Relevant ● The objective helps you meet the purpose of the grant

● The objective is aligned with the Community Readiness Assessment scores

Tim ● Specify when the objective should be completed
e
bou ● Include time-lined benchmarks for long-range goals and all objectives
