Key responsibilities and authorities:

 Adherence to Joyson Safety Systems Quality Culture and Customer Orientation.


 Continuously drive JSS financial sustainability through:
- Material Rate to Sales – Cost of BOM improvements.
- Execution of saving budgets.
- Positive impact on cash flow.
 Knowledge of & compliance to purchasing procedures.
 Procure material, equipment, and services that exceed JSS business objectives
 Benchmark commodities and manage a buyer business plan to exceed cost reduction objectives.
 Actively link with GCM and counterparts in the others regions to ensure global strategies and drive
localization requirements.
 Link & leverage current and new businesses.
 Constantly follow up and update the KPIs for on-time performance/sourcing implementations.
 Regionally or Globally source all components/suppliers on a regular base.
 Develop a short, medium & long-term vision of continuous improvement in terms of :
- Quality, Service (incl. logistics, launch and customer orientation), Price and Technology (Q/P/S/T)
- Understanding of market evolutions & technologies development.
- Understanding competitiveness of existing supply base (cost structure, cost modelling) and
benchmarking potential suppliers to drive continuous Business Case improvement (BOM cost) both
within PCO activities and on daily-basis.
- Utilizing Vendor Tooling cost structure analysis to drive best total value of such.

 Follow adequate training’s to develop & maintain market and techniques expertise.
 Actively manage and process data related to owned commodity including comparative cost breakdown
analysis, cost linearities and, ideally, cost model development.
 Early communicate/negotiate with supplier JSS expectations for:
- Supplier Quality
- Logistics/ Manufacturing System Requirements
- Continuous improvement
- Payment Terms
- GT&C, Code of Conduct, Conflict Minerals and other requirements acceptance.
 Ensure on time data transmission to the other Purchasing functions:
- Supplier Quality for Supplier Quality Improvement Process implementation.
- Part readiness for tracking system updates.
- Project Purchasing Leaders group for program/project management purposes.
 Understand/negotiate cost impact related to design changes.
 Support other commodity sourcing and actions based on necessity and urgency.
 Promote JSS values in compliance to Supplier Relationship Management philosophy (approachability,
communications, support of supplier inquiries, technical competencies and fairness).
 Ability to adhere Purchasing Department values based on accountability, integrity and constructive
communications.
 Act as mentor and active support in escalation needed by Operational Purchasing
 Show “owner of the company mindset” in every action taken.
Qualifications required:
I Education: Master of Science Degree – Engineering/Business

II Experience: min. 2 years in purchasing.

III Skills/Training:

 English- C1
 Purchasing experience (3/6 years): negotiation skills, purchasing process skills
 Problem solving skill
 Data analytics – cost breakdown, cost comparative analysis.
 Presentation skills
 Meeting leading skills
 Knowledge in information security
 Understanding of manufacturing processes and production environment
 Analytical thinking and ability to gather/gain key information
