Dear parents,
There is quote I wish to share “A Woman is the full
circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture, and
transform”. March is a very important month at LOIS! We
get to celebrate the achievements and inspiring women
from around the world.
March is the month of Women’s International Day and
Mother’s Day and as a PYP international school it is our
duty to educate young girls and promote awareness to
the importance of dreaming big and achieving goals no
matter what challenges are presented to us.
We are launching a campaign “Inti Qadaha” to inspire
young students, girls and women in our society with
the success stories of women who defied all odds
and ventured into achieving their goals in life with no
limitations. So we ask you to have conversations during
this month with your children at home and discuss their
views on what they believe they can achieve in life
and who is their inspirational role model. And we have
to recognize also during this month the devotion and
dedication mothers model to children with their hard
work, loving and caring nature.
The students will be involved in research, thought
provoking discussions and projects to enhance their
learning experience. We hope that they go through this
learning journey and get inspired to dream of achieving
goals in their lives they might not have thought is
possible before. We pray they grow into the role model
citizens they are learning about today.
As usual we welcome your support and we wish you
a happy mother’s day and women’s empowerment
month!

In this month’s newsletter we’ll be addressing our young
ones’ presentation skills development.
Having a 3- to 5-year-old stand Infront of an audience and
actually speak is considered a challenge, nevertheless if
we follow the right steps we will most definitely succeed.

Guide your child to form full clear sentences.
Children have a habit of uttering the first thing that comes
to your mind, not having in mind the structure or grammar.
It is advised you repeat the sentence clearly in its correct
form and of course without showing judgment. Finally,
help your child pronounce the words clearly with the right
articulation in order to boost their self-confidence.
02.
Motivate your child to retell the story.
After reading their favorite story with them, motivate
them to retell it in their own way. Help them start
with the beginning, then middle and lastly the end of
the story. Day by day encourage her/him to retell it
in front of the whole family or in different ways.
03.
Make sure they stand in a good posture.
Having a good posture boosts one’s self-esteem,
and for that reason it is advisable you remind your
child to sit up straight and talk clearly whenever
you find them slouching or muttering their words.

Spelling Bee
competition
Our English Department in LOINS held
a Spelling Bee competition on Monday,
January 31st.
Spelling bees help to promote literacy
by providing children with a positive goal
to work toward, and give them a forum
to display the fruits of their hard work.
But they also do much more: In addition
to improving spelling, the bees also aid
children in learning concepts, improving
comprehension and developing study
skills.
The benefits of spelling bees extend
beyond language: Since children are
required to spell words while on stage,
kids also develop self-confidence,
communication and public speaking skills,
and the ability to thrive under pressure.

LOINS
International Day
International Day was celebrated with great zeal
and enthusiasm at LOINS on Thursday February
17, 2022. All students enjoyed the day by taking
part in many fun & creative activities where
they participated in group dance, face painting
and drawing competitions to celebrate the day.
All the activities were linked to the school core
values to be part of a global event that promotes
international togetherness & awareness.
It was a fun-filled day for everyone.
