An Interview of The Millennium…

It was an encounter with a company hr head last week. This is all about an interview that was
scheduled with a company somewhere functioning in Western Africa. One of the numerous
odd job consultants from India, somewhere found my email contacts and he contacted me.

A very few people know that since last few months, I am keeping away from my old
professional contacts. The only things which are in schedule are keep following the
movements of Indian Economy, news late night, wake up early around 4 make share market
strategies for me. This is what was a time pass in my earlier days and now the main source for
my earning. And a lot helped me in terms of keeping my self-updated in terms of my
mainstream in terms of profession. So, interviewing people was my again my past time, and
now interviewing people and helping them in facing interviews has become my profession.
Thanks to a lot of my friends who helped me in making those contacts.

So, this company hr contacted me on a skype call.

1. The interview was on skype, she did not switch on her cam and wanted me to switch
on my cam.
2. She wanted me to join the company with immediate effect but when I want to leave
their company my notice period should be of 3 months.
3. She wanted to pay me the salary equal to my last salary without any increments. And
the facilities should be like a fresh starting employee like sharing accommodation,
sharing car, etc.
4. I am observing that a new system has emerged. She wanted to deduct my 3 months of
salary and keep it as a deposit, till the date I will be working with them.
5. She declared openly working hours will be 12 hours daily. And, after a small
punctuation she told, if something goes wrong in the production during nights you
need to attend this trouble shooting after these 12 hours of working schedule….
6. The last question was, WHY YOU WANT TO LEAVE YOUR CURRENT JOB. Believe me
answering this was very tactical and more technical than my engineering degree to
answer this.
7. After this they sent me a job agreement, which I can see is a fully unilateral agreement.
Where an employee does not have any of the rights.

She was unaware of the fact that I have been a Interview Trainer and professional Interviewer
for Companies.

AND THIS WAS THE FIRST JOB INTERVIEW IN MY LIFE WHERE I DID NOT TAKE A PUNCTUATION
TO THINK, and I SAID A BIG NO...

Really, I wanted to say F__k you.

But, Manners are to kept.
