Code of Ethics
1. Explain that a professional code of ethics states the principles and core values that are essential to the
work of a particular occupational group.

2. Explain that most codes of ethics are created by professional organizations and have two parts: the first
outlines what the organization aspires to become, and the second typically lists rules and principles by
which members of the organization are expected to abide.
