Transposition

These exercises in transposition will test your knowledge both of scale degrees
and intervals. Transpose either by scale degree (for example, the fifth note in
the Mozart example is raised 4̂; in F minor it would be B ) or by melodic interval
(for example, the first interval in the Mozart is a minor 3rd; starting on F ,
the second tone would be A). Try working out each exercise in one way and
checking your results by the other.­
