Sir,
Good day!
I am writing on behalf of the Sangguniang Barangay of Barangay Danao, Ormoc City and the Barangay
Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, in connection with the current threat posed by the Shear Line, as
indicated in PAGASA Weather Advisory No. 3 issued on 11:00 a.m of November 15, 2023.
Considering the potential impact of severe weather conditions on our barangay residents, and in adherence to
the advisory of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, we are proactively exploring safe and
adequate evacuation facilities. In light of this, we are respectfully seeking your good office and the DepEd’s assistance
and approval to temporarily utilize the newly constructed school building at Lake Danao Integrated School for
evacuation purposes, should the need arise.
The safety and well-being of our residents are utmost important, and the strategic location and structural
integrity of the Lake Danao Integrated School building make it an ideal temporary evacuation center during severe
weather events.
We assure you that any temporary use of the school building for evacuation will be conducted with the utmost
care and consideration for the educational facilities. We commit to restoring the premises to its original condition
promptly once the weather situation stabilizes.
We kindly request your prompt consideration of this matter, given the urgency of the current weather threat.
Your approval will greatly contribute to our community's preparedness and the effective implementation of necessary
measures to protect the lives of everybody involved.
