Hi Lorenzo,
Thank you for your email. I’m also seventeen and I also
like sports, music and the cinema. My favourite actor is
Tom Holland. He’s great in the new Spider-Man movie.
On a typical school day, I get up at 7 (I hope that’s OK for
you!) and I have a BIG breakfast. School starts at 8:30.
We have lunch at school at one o’clock. In the afternoon,
I go to the gym, do homework or relax at home.
At weekends my friends and I always play football.
(It’s my favourite sport. Do you like it?) On Saturday
evenings, I usually go out with friends to the cinema
or to a party … or both. We can do all these things
together.
Have a good trip. See you soon!
All the best,
Joe

He wants me to join him – not only in sport activities but also in going out to parties or to the cinema. It’s going to be fun.
I think I should take a present for Joe. He likes music, so maybe a CD that is the top of the list in Italy now? What do you
think?
Take care!
Lorenzo

Floating Market here in Bangkok.
The visit lasts a few hours and

Cześć!

Dziś piszę do Was z Bangkoku, stolicy Tajlandii. Właśnie wróciłem ze wspaniałej wycieczki na pływający targ

Seaview Cottage
A lovely place for a family holiday
It’s a traditional house for a perfect countryside experience,
but with all the things you need for modern-day life.

When you open the front door and walk into the living
room, there is a lovely fireplace and some comfortable
sofas and armchairs. There’s a big kitchen next to the living
room with a cooker, a fridge and a microwave. There’s also a
bathroom with a toilet, washbasin and a bath in it. Upstairs
there are two bedrooms with windows looking out on the
garden. One of the windows is a door to the outside terrace.

The house is in Brixham village, so you can walk everywhere

and we are happy to make suggestions about good places
to eat or visit in the area.

Eton College is probably the most famous school

in Britain. It is very old, but other schools are even
older. So why do people know Eton better than other
schools?
Eton is famous because of the people who go there.
When students leave the school, they are called ‘Old
Etonians’. Prince William and Prince Harry are Old
Etonians. So is Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki in the
Thor and Avengers movies.
To get into the school, a student has to pass an exam
… and be a boy. There are no girls at the school. The
students wear a special uniform with a long jacket,
called a morning coat, and a white tie around their
necks.
It is important for students at the school to work hard
in class. Every year, the cleverest students go to study
at Oxford or Cambridge University. Sports are also
important. Cricket is very popular in the summer
but the boys don’t have to play that sport. They can Me Mamo, znalazłam fajne ogłoszenie

Will there still be polar bears

in the world in 2100?
Polar bears need sea ice to hunt, rest and travel. But the
ice in the Arctic is melting because of global warming.
Scientists believe that some time between 2059 and 2078,
there will be no sea ice in summer in the Arctic Sea. The
polar bears’ habitat will become smaller and smaller. Bears
won’t get enough food in the summer; they won’t be able
to feed their young and many bears will die in winter.
There are now between 20,000 and 25,000 polar bears in
the world. Some scientists predict that sixty percent will
disappear before 2050.
