2. eCommission SmartX Controllers Feature Summary


eCommission SmartX Controllers is a BACnet tool for use in configuring the communications of
SmartX IP Controllers. eCommission SmartX Controllers will connect to a BACnet network and find
the SmartX IP Controllers on that network. It will assist in identifying and configuring the controllers
as well as calibrating VAV controllers and checkout of physical inputs and outputs.

2.1.3 What is supported?
• Configuring and saving values of menu items bound to a RP-C/MP-C/MP-V output or value
present-value and priority-array elements.
• Refreshing the menu values bound to a RP-C/MP-C/MP-V input, output, or value present-
value to see live controller values.
• Hiding or displaying menu items based on conditional visibility expressions.
• Viewing a menu item description by selecting the Information icon.
• Viewing custom multistate object value labels in multistate dropdown control.
• Display of indicators for menu items with empty or invalid bindings.
• Display of value units as configured in RP-C/MP-C/MP-V.
• Minimum and maximum entry validation for double and integer menu values.
• 32-character entry validation for string menu values.
• Entering European decimal values with comma separators.
• Display of Configuration Menu header, submenu, and value Font Weight attribute.
2.1.4 What is not supported?
• Configuring and saving values of menu items bound to properties other than present-value
and priority-array elements.
• Refreshing and viewing values of menu items bound to properties other than present-value
and priority-array elements.
• Automatic display of read-only properties as read-only. Configuration Menu value items
not explicitly configured to be read-only in the Configuration Menu editor will not display
as read-only in the eCommission SmartX Controllers mobile application. If you do not want
a technician to configure a value from the eCommission SmartX Controllers mobile
application, verify that the value Read-Only attribute is set to TRUE in the Configuration
Menu editor.
• Localization of units. The units displayed in the Configuration Menu will be as configured in
the controllers point. It will not be localized according to the user’s device regional settings.
2.1.5 Updated I/O Checkout Functionality
• Added I/O Checkout caching. The save button will save cumulative changes to I/O Checkout
Report in the connected device.
(Note: If the user clicks save on a point once, the next time they save the report may
remove the last change the user made)
• Added refresh button to update current device values in I/O Checkout.
• Added pop up reminder to save when clicking back when in checkout of objects.
• Now able to force value before or after putting in new value of object.
2.1.6 New Device Restart Types
• Erase Controller Database
o Erase the controller database to clear any applications in the controller and before
deploying a new application. Erasing the controller database will retain only the
network settings, RSTP, and BACnet ID.
• Activate IP Changes
o Activate IP Changes when you have made changes to any of the IP settings.

• Bluetooth functionality is not available in the 1.3.0 version of eCommission SmartX

6. APPENDIX B – Procedures
6.1 Installing eCommission SmartX Controllers Application
The eCommission SmartX Controller application installers are found on the mobile application store
for the respective software platform of the mobile device. To install the application, open the store,
search for eCommission SmartX Controllers, and click or tap the button to begin the installation.
Note that for any of the three platforms, you will need an account to access the store or an account
on the mobile device.
6.1.1 Installing from the Play Store
To install the app on an Android device, perform the following steps.
• Ensure the device has Android 6.0 or later
• Open Play Store
• Search for eCommission SmartX Controllers
• Choose eCommission SmartX Controller by the developer Schneider Electric SA
• Tap Install
6.1.2 Installing from the Microsoft Store
To install the app on a Windows 10 device, perform the following steps.
• Ensure the device has Windows 10 Anniversary Edition (version 16) or later
• From the start-menu, type ”Microsoft Store”
• Click on Microsoft Store
• Search for eCommission SmartX Controllers
• Choose eCommission SmartX Controllers, from Schneider Electric SA
• Tap Get or Install
• You may need to logon to a Microsoft account to install the app
6.1.3 Installing from the App Store
To install the app on an iOS device, perform the following steps.
• Ensure the device has iOS 11.3 or later
• Open App Store
• Search for eCommission SmartX Controllers
• Choose eCommission SmartX Controllers, from Schneider Electric SA
• Tap Install

You can find help in various locations. Help is available within eCommission SmartX Controllers, and
from websites providing videos and documents.
