CONCERT WITH A CAUSE.

It is an online event with the goal of increasing and

promoting awareness of environmental conservation. All
proceeds from this online fundraising event will use to
tree planting and growing activity at the Mangrove
Sanctuary in Zone 6 of Barangay Bula in General Santos
City.

better society.

We must always remember that economic growth and

environmental performance go hand in hand. Protecting
nature and the environment is critical to socio-economic
development and sustainable growth, providing the
resources we need to produce goods, services and jobs.

me to run for the presidency of the division-wide YES-O
Club. That song, written by Maestro Ryan Cayabyab, a
well-known Filipino composer, discussed societal
problems brought on by abusive human behavior as well
as environmental challenges. It serves as a reminder that
we must take immediate action to protect the
environment if we hope to continue living on the planet
after the climate change irreversibility deadline has

Barangay Bula is prone to garbage that is thrown on the
 shore, and it is not helping the people there or the sea.
Moreover, planting mangroves helps prevent coastal
floods, strong winds, and waves while also reducing
coastline erosion and protecting coastal populations. By
filtering out contaminants from stormwater runoff before
they reach coral reefs and seagrass habitats, mangroves
preserve the quality of the water.
