Within the regulatory framework of the UAE
Federal Maritime Administration (FMA)
represented by the Ministry of Energy and
Infrastructure, The FMA has adopted from the
date of issuance, the IMO Assembly Resolution
A.1156(32) Survey Guidelines Under the
Harmonized System of Survey and Certification
for Ships (HSSC) 2021, related to the Protocol of
1988 relating to the International Convention
for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 and of the
Protocol of 1988 relating to the International
Convention on Load Lines, 1966, as attached to
this circular.

requirements of Resolution A.1156(32) and its

annexes, and provide the FMA upon request with

for full compliance with the requirements of the
