Dear HR PT Merdeka Mining Services

I am very happy and interested on applying for the Geoscience Business Improvement
Analysis position at PT Merdeka Mining Servis, as a career switcher from my previous
career as an Exploration Geophysicist. I believe that my passion and ability in data
analysis as well as the ability to learn quickly make me suitable for this position.
Even though I don’t have direct experience on the Geoscience Business Improvement
analysis, but I have a background in mining services and have held the first mining
operational supervisor certificate. Apart from that, I have taken several online courses,
including completing a data analytics course at REVOU and becoming a Data Analyst
Associate to work on several projects related to data analytics at REVOU Next. During
my time as a student at REVOU I have worked on several projects with my teammates,
one of the projects is "Recommendation to Increase User Engagement on Spotify", where
this project aims to provide music recommendations based on user segments and habits.
From this project I gained direct experience in carrying out data analysis stages
including data handling, data cleaning, and data analysist. Apart from that, I can
develop my abilities in analytical thinking, critical thinking, project management and
further improve my attention to detail skills which are very useful in analyzing data. I
am sure that this can provide perspective and contribute to the success of PT Merdeka
Mining Servis.
I am very interested in PT Merdeka Mining Servis because its business lines are very
diverse and have an innovative approach to the world of mining. I am very passionate
about working for a company that has a positive impact on the world and I believe that
