Subject: An Ejahar.

Dear Sir,

I, beg to state that, I, Fulbanu, daughter of Late Dulal Mia, address: 93/3 Merul Badda, Dhaka,
mobile no. 01XXXXXXX, bearing NID: XXXXXXXXXx, am hereby filing this Ejahar to
your police station on the fact that I was married to Akkas Ali, son of Khokon Ali of North
Badda in the year of 2015. We started to live a happy conjugal life thereafter at the residence
place of my husband, Akkas Ali in North Badda. Suddenly, after some years of marriage, my
husband lost his job due to allegation of misconduct in workplace. After this incident, our
marital life had started worsening. Gradually he became drug addicted due to frustration and
he started claiming money from me. Finally, this practice of claiming money has culminated
into claiming dowry from his in-laws (my father) and beating me repeatedly. At about 8pm of
20/09/2023, he started beating me mercilessly at his residence which is only 1 kilometer away
from the police station and situated nearby the Merul Badda bus stand after my denial of
arranging his claimed dowry amounting taka 5 lakhs from my parents. Hearing the sounds of
our scuffle, two neighbors named Sumon and Amena came and resisted him after a struggle of
one hour. After that, Sumon and Amena took me to a nearby hospital, wherefrom I have got
my primary treatment. After the incidence, I am presently residing at my father’s residence in
fear of further torture.
In the above-mentioned circumstances, I pray and hope that necessary legal actions will be
taken against my husband by accepting this ejahar.
