Use a word processor, desktop publisher, presentation software to create self-running

Objectives: Create a self-running presentation for the poster.

Presentation structure
1. Intro slide:
Title of presentation, date, presenter name.

2. Outline slide:
• Main points of what you will talk about.

• Then follow the structure you’ve laid out.

• Start broad, finish specific.

• Rank Information (What NEEDS to go on the slide).

• Simplify.

3. Content slides:
• Cover detailed information based on your outline.

• As many slides as you need, as many as 1‐2 per minute.

• Remember PowerPoint is more visual than verbal: “a picture is

Rehearse timing is useful if:

You want to save certain timings for each slide to be displayed

automatically so you don’t have to click for next slide.

AND while you’re presenting your project you will be free to speak to

your audience.

Rehearsing is often one of the last steps in creating a presentation.

This amazing command is in Slide Show tab.

1- Click Slide Show tab.

2- Click “Rehearse timings”.

NOTICE : This will start “Slide show”.

3- PowerPoint will start to record timing for each slide as below:

If you have a microphone for your computer, you can record a

Voiceover narration for the entire presentation while recording it.

This will help you to run your presentation automatically with a

narration.

NOTE:
The difference between “Rehearse timing and Record slide show” , that :

Record Slide show → Records slides timing and narration.

Rehearse timing → Records slides timing only.

1- Click Slide show tab.

2- From Media group , Click “Record slide show”.
3- Record Slide show box appears.

4- Your presentation will appear in full-screen view.

5- Start to record the narration.

6- At the end slide PowerPoint will close Full screen view.

NOW your record and narration is saved as a part of your

presentation, will appear like this.
