Classcraft for 10 Gomez

by Maria Lalaine B. Otabe

How to get started?

Classcraft is fun and very easy to use. All you have to do is to follow the steps below to get started.

1. Know your student code. I already prepared our class in this course and you already
have your names on the platform. Please check the PDF file I sent in the group chat to
get your code. This code is important for you to be able to join our class.
2. Visit the Classcraft website. Now that you already have your code, go to your browser
(may it be on an android phone, laptop, or PC) and visit accounts.classcraft.com. The
web interface should be like this:

3. Sign up! Since you don’t have an account yet, just click the words Sign up to continue.
This will forward you to a new page, and left-click “I’m a Student”.

4. Enter the codes. This time, the website will ask about your student code. Just copy the
code that you have from the PDF and left-click “Next”.
5. Use Username. By left-clicking next, you will be forwarded to another window. This
time, it is important to choose “USE USERNAME” rather than your Google Account.
Usernames in this platform are more convenient, optimized, and quick to set up.

6. Use your ID Number as Username. I suggest that you will use your ID number (e.g.
2015-0700) as your username to easily remember it. In this part, you will also set your
password, and left-click, “START PLAYING”.

7. Setting Up
your Avatar. In Classcraft, we have a “Class system.” You can select any class and
customize your avatars, buy costumes or gears, as you level up in this course. Since we
will be using only the basic function, your character class selection will have no impact

on this course, rather than for aesthetic purposes.

8. The
Character
Dashboard. Voila! You have finished creating your account! You are now ready for the
semester!

Questing

Now that you already have your character, you are now ready to earn points to level up. Each task that
you have accomplished in this course, will be converted to XP (Experience Points) which makes your in-
game character or avatar level up. Your learning tasks in this course will be in the form of “Quests”. To
access Quests, just go to your character dashboard, go to the left side of your screen for icons, and left-
click the fourth one, starting from the top, after the Classcraft logo to access “QUESTS”.

In accessing “QUESTS”, you

will be forwarded to the world map where all our tasks in this course will be posted. I will be giving
updates when there will be new
tasks for you to accomplish to gain XP.
Reward System

The reward system in games makes our time and accomplishment worthwhile and fulfilling. In this
course, you will be rewarded for every task that you can accomplish. You will also receive XPs for early
and on-time submissions. I will also give additional points for the best output. At the end of the
semester, the top 5 XP earners of this class will receive splendid rewards. Which is, of course, high
grades! Here is the Experience Points (XP) table for you to be guided:

Task Conditions Experience Points (XPs)

Successfully completed the Task +200 XP
On-time submission +200 XP
Early submission +300 XP
Best Output +300 XP

Important note: The XP points are stackable! Meaning, if you have satisfied all the requirements set in
the task conditions, you will receive 1000 XP for every task that you have accomplished!
