Assessment Assignment 2: Discussion Forum

Weightage 20%
Course outcomes to achieve:
CLO 2 – Express themselves effectively using appropriate language skills through
discussion and presentation
Assessment Components:
1. Discussion – 15 marks
2. Video Production – 5 marks

Discussion Forum (Group Task)

1. Students are to form a group consisting of five (5) members and choose a discussion
forum question from Appendix A.
2. Decide the role of each member: Moderator, Panellist A, Panellist B, Panellist C and
Panellist D.
3. Fill in the full names of each group member under the chosen forum question at:

4. Each student must be in formal attire and each group is given a maximum of 20
minutes for the discussion.
5. In the discussion, each person may support or oppose the other panellists’ views with
the prompts given by the moderator.
6. At the end of the discussion, try to come to a group decision based on the discussion
topic given.
7. The discussion forum is to be VIDEO RECORDED as a group and each student’s name
must be clearly displayed in the video. The final video must be in MP4 format.
8. The forum can be either conducted face to face or online through Microsoft Teams or
any other online meeting platforms.
9. Test out the selected recording device before the actual recording.
10. List down all the students’ names and roles in the end credits.
